The birthday went well, pretty low-key. Mallary went to L.A. that weekend and came back engaged! I'm super happy for her and Gabe. I'm very excited to help her plan the wedding. Just got back from San Marcos today. Much needed vaca and we got to see Cila. I took my mom's car though because I need to get my car checked out. I'm two months away from paying it off and something has to go wrong with it. :-( We got in late Friday night and Cila was babysitting Javi. That kid is outrageous. That's all I'm going to say about that. Saturday, Mal and I went shopping all day long at the outlets because Cila had a workshop but then met up for dinner with her. We watched the 3rd part of the Godfather because Mal hadn't seen it. I just knew she would love Sofia Coppola's brilliant acting ;-) Today we went up to Wimberly and went antique shopping and had a picnic. Nice weather...not too hot.
One more week and it's Spring Break :-) But that just means I will be working full time for my dad. I think Daylight Savings Time is ridiculous. It's gonna be so dark tomorrow morning. UGH I'm going to want to sleep. I should sleep now. I think I overdid the smileys.

Even on my day off...
I had to work. BLAH!
So jury duty was uneventful. I walked in, was told all the cases were settled and I would get to go home, left. Easy as 1, 2, 3. I had quite the productive day. Got myself a kolache and milk at Shipley's, went to Clear Lake, went to the bank where I talked to Ash through the speaker, got the car washed (which the price has skyrocketed to 13 bucks for the ultimate washNgo) I was going to go for the gold medal and get my oil changed, but the line was like nine cars long at 9am. WTF mate?! Then I had to go over to my dad's shop and do reconciliation crap for him. I was there for five hours doing that nonsense and looking at invoices. I went shopping con mi madre but I only bought some earrings. We went to Krogers and I bought groceries and made spaghetti and meatballs for my mom and I, and shrimp alfredo for my dad. He was like a little kid and wanted a different sauce. My meatballs came out pretty awesome today and they didn't burn. I actually missed being at actual work today...Felt weird not being there.

Whoosh!
That's the sound of my weekend flying by! UGH!
But it was fun so I can't complain too much. Hung out with Mal and Melisa on Friday night and watched some movies, Saturday I got up early and went with Rosy to get our nails *did* and wax our eyebrows. Of course it was packed, I think for two reasons, one being Valentines Day and two, being it was so damn ugly outside so all the women decided to meet up at the nail shop and chat it up. There was some chatty women in there.
Anywho Saturday night, I went with Mal to her friend Ryan's apartment in Spring and I met Kristi and Jake. Kristi was freakin' hilarious (note: she was drunk) and I thoroughly enjoyed my time. I hadn't laughed so much in such a long time. Of course I was DD and drove Mallary home... so I didn't get home until 3am. I was so exhausted and I managed to make it to church this morning. I mean I woke up 15 minutes before and scrunched my hair but hey I made it out the door by nine. I really wanted to take a nap today but of course laundry and doing accounting stuff for my dad took up the whole day. And now I can't sleep. Ain't that something? GRRRR
So girl scout cookies came in today...we ordered EIGHT boxes. So our neighbor and her little girl come to the door and Toby is barking his head off. I grab him, open the door and BAM the bottom of the door smashed into my big toe. Luckily no cuss words exited my mouth but now I have a messed up nail now. It's all red or unpretty :-( Damn doors! Damn me!
I saw this band called Chester French on MTV3 I think...singer is super cute and decent voice. Video was weird...but decent song. I think it's catchy.
Currently listing to Death Cab for Cutie - Coney Island. Perhaps it will make me sleepy. That or Transatlanticism. I'm out.

bored and sick...
I coughed all night long last night...I can't stand being sick. Especially with a sore throat and all this congestion. I'm hoping I don't have to go to the doctor...I hate going.
I just now got home from an early dinner with my family and Walter, Barbara and family. We went to some place in Texas City. I didn't really like it at all. I'm still hungry haha.
So I'm home now and I turn on the tv and the Notebook is on. I hate watching this movie but I can't help it. I need to get some tissues ready because I already know I'm gonna cry.
So I have a new favorite show....Man Vs. Food!! This guy can eat...and he's hilarious! I'm surprised he hasn't had a heart attack yet from all the huge plates of food he eats.
Anyway, Ford keeps sending me car stuff. They know how to get me haha. I'm liking the Ford Edge right now...they start in the late 20s though. I'm about to pay off my car though, I think I'll try to keep it for a while and try to pay off some school loans. I really don't want to get anything right now. Heard the school district is laying off people...well not heard, they have. They are cutting pay too :-( So stressful...
I'm gonna save as much money as I can. That should be my new year's resolution since I haven't even ran at all this year haha. Mal and I were going to work out with Rosy at her apartment complex's facility but I didn't go the other day because I'm sick and I don't think that is wise. or because I'm lazy haha

Time for a list...
1. I got to eat some sushi with Rosy this weekend.
2. I got to play all the free games I wanted at Main Event and talk about interesting stuff with Rosy, Brandon and Joey.
3. Went to the Rockets game last week with the "Hotdog Hounder" and friends to watch the Rockets kick the Jazz's Mormon asses...haha just kid. I did get to see Mehmet Okur eventhough he's a jackass. And we got to see this drunk chick get called out by this guy in front of her because she had the bright idea to bop him on the head with her clappers balloons thingys. haha
4. I'm totally enjoying work and having tons of fun.
5. I kicked the Math's ass on the THEA test...bahaahahahahahaha. Almost got a perfect score!
6. Got a brand new camera...muy excited!
7. PAY DAY is FRIDAY!!!!
8. Got to see Mal today.

Third day off...
So it's MLK Day and I didn't have work but it seems like when I have the time to sleep in, I can't! It happened on Saturday and now today. I woke up way earlier than I should have.
Friday, of course I had to work but it wasn't too bad. Just organizing and making little games for the kiddos. Saturday, I attempted to sleep in but I woke up around 830. Ate some pancakes, watched some movies, really wanted to buy a new camera but didn't feel like dealing with the Saturday shopping madness that usually happens on I45. My dad took my old camera for work and wants to keep it now so I get a new one. I wasn't planning on getting one but like on Saturday night for instance, Mal and I went to see Spring Awakening, a camera would have came in handy. Not like I could take pics of the show but beforehand and afterwards, you know? Yeah, you know. Speaking of the musical, it was A-MAZ-ING! Wait, amazing doesn't even cover it. Ahhhh sooooo good. Duncan Sheik, the guy from a few years back who sang "Barely Breathing" wrote the music to this musical. Absolutely spectacular! The setting was late 1800s with teenages with sexual angst but has the modern music vibe. It very risque...I saw some ass on stage during a love scene but it's done so well and the music just makes you want to tap your feet. One song was called "The Bitch of Living" which the boys performed and another was "Totally Fucked" haha. It was funny, exciting, sometimes depressing in a couple scenes but overall, wonderful! No wonder it won so many Tony awards. After the show, Mal and I met up with Rosy at Friday's to eat. Afterwards, I laid in bed so sleepy but kept tossing and turning. I didn't go to church on Sunday because I was so exhausted from the night before. I hate when I don't go. My mom didn't go either because her and my dad wanted to go gambling. They asked if I wanted to go, but I'm semi-broke right now and poker is usually the other thing I will play or blackjack. My dad said he would give me the money to play poker, usually you need atleast 200 to play the cash game, but I haven't felt like gambling since coming back from Arizona. They left, and I just stayed at home just bumming and somewhat cleaning. Mal and I went to see Cila at her sister's house because she came into town again for a short visit. We chatted, ate some Taco Bell, watched some How I Met Your Mother. Good times. I couldn't sleep in today again...slept till nine. I had to let Lily back outside and put Toby outside too so he could do his business. He kept going from my bed to the couch and back and forth the whole night. Annoying little pup. I think I'm supposed to go to my dad's accountant today to drop off some stuff. I'm not sure if it was today or tomorrow. Hmmmm I should inquire about such questions.
